The Laboratory of Human Ecology and Ethnobotany (ECOHE, Laboratório de Ecologia Humana e
Etnobotânica) conducts research that emphasizes the interaction between people and resources. Studies
predominantly use a biological approach and fall under two main themes: artisanal fishing and ethnobotany in
areas of Atlantic Forest. Laboratory projects include investigations about patterns of knowledge and use of
resources, interfaces between local /traditional populations and conservation areas, perceptions about
biological resources and ecosystems, and methodologies of collecting and analyzing data about human
ecology and related areas. |
